Company History

Established in 1995, our vision is to successfully divert wood from landfill by processing wood waste into a useful resource.   Our sister company, William Tracey Limited, carried out extensive research into the uses of shredded wood and discovered that businesses across Europe were using this material to manufacture chipboard products. From this Tracey Timber was formed and became a key supplier to the UK particle board manufacturers.

With extensive experience in the recycling industry, and a successful business dedicated to wood recycling, our Managing Director, Michael Tracey, went on to form the Wood Recyclers Association.  As founding member and first Chairman of the association, Michael Tracey continues to share our experience and knowledge in wood recycling our customers benefit from excellent customer service, industry knowledge and high quality products and services.

Today we reprocess around 70,000 tonnes of wood waste each year and provide services for wood collection and skip hire across Scotland, using a fleet of modern curtain sided vehicles and ‘roll on/off’’ containers.  With a range of complimentary recycling and waste management services provided by our sister company William Tracey Limited, we can deliver a service which meets our customer’s needs and delivers true diversion from landfill.

We service all types of businesses and deliver cost savings to customers who need to dispose or wood or who use wood products.  We are also investing in the future of alternative energy, supplying services to Biomass Power Stations.

As leaders in the field of wood recycling, Tracey Timber Recycling make the perfect partner for your wood recycling needs.
